Claude Monet was the founder of Impressionist style & has did great contribution in the field of art.

He was born on 14 Nov, 1840 in Rue Laffitte, Paris in a middle-class family.
His father wanted Monet to take over his business but, Monet's interest was in painting.
On April 1, 1851, he took admission in Le Havre secondary school of the arts.
For higher studies in art he went to Académie Suisse in Paris.
In Paris he met Camille Pissarro whom he married on 28 June 1870.

In 1874, his did his first exhibition where, he showcased his paintings—impressions, Sunrise, Boulevard des Capuchins & The Luncheon.
The Monet's series of haystacks & the paintings of water lilies in his garden gained much fame and popularity.
By the second half of 20th century, he became one of the world's well-known artists & a biggest source of inspiration for the newcomers.
