Most of the paintings by genius Leonardo Da Vinci have made world records in terms of popularity and bidding.

"Salvator Mundi," a painting by Da Vinci, is the world's most expensive painting, sold for $450 million at a public auction in 2017

Salvator Mundi was made around the year (1499-1510)

This painting depicts a portrait of Christ holding a transparent crystal orb in his left hand and raising his right hand for blessing.

Currently, the owner of this painting is Mohammad bin Salman, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia.

According to the June 2019 report, the painting was being stored on Serene (the private superyachts of bin Salman)

The painting was probably commission work given by a specific patron.

It is believed that the painting had been destroyed because it was missing from 1763 to 1900 when the painting was bought by Leonardo's follower Sir Charles Robinson.

In late 1958, the painting was again seen in Sotheby's in England, where it sold for just $125
